CEUBIOM - Classification of European Biomass Potential for Bioenergy Using Terrestrial and Earth Observations
Objective of the project is the dissemination of best practices, technology transfer, development of international co-operation and the distribution of the results and findings to the international scientific community and the respective administrative bodies.

- RapidEye images acquired in April and August showing different crops
Accessing a harmonized database on biomass potential will allow an efficient use of the available biomass, a better monitoring of sustainability and also has highly competitive aspects. The harmonization concept will be developed on the basis of existing inventories, but also using the potential synergies between EO data and ground truth information.
Overall the project will:
- Develop a common methodology for gathering information on biomass potential using terrestrial and EO data
- Disseminating information, best practices and methodology on using EO in the assessment of biomass potential
- Use e-technologies for disseminating information, best practices on the use and application of developed harmonized methodology.

- TerraSAR images acquired in March and June showing different crops
